Chris Thorpe

Chris joined the CSL Group in 2017. He was appointed to the role of VP, Head of Finance CSL Seqirus in January 2024, following 7 years of increasing responsibility in R&D finance across the CSL Group, most recently as CSL Head of Finance R&D and a member of the Finance Leadership Team.  Chris was instrumental in leading the finance transformation requirements and driving the finance business partnering capability in support of CSL’s transition to its ‘One R&D’ model.  Prior to joining the CSL Group, Chris spent 7 years at AstraZeneca in Commercial Finance and R&D Finance roles. Before that, he spent more than 11 years with KPMG working globally across a variety of disciplines including Strategy, Commercial Intelligence, M&A, Advisory and Audit. 

Chris holds an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Newcastle University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
